The Artist

Rick Mattingly was born in Louisville, Kentucky and raised in Pleasure Ridge Park and now lives in Bagdad, Kentucky.

Rick has found his niche through sculpting, unique plaster, murals and wall hanging.  He can create a vivid image using only his imagination or recreate a scene from a photo. 

Each piece has it's own characteristics and tranquil beauty.  There is nothing that compares to the style and quality of a piece that Rick puts his heart and soul into. When you view his sculptures, they will transport you to a peaceful place.

Sculptor Rick Mattingly has no mentors. There is nowhere to go to learn his sculpture techniques. No one teaches his sculpture technique. Sculptor Rick Mattingly works in such a rare art form that coming up with a name to describe it has been only slightly less difficult than creating the art itself
